Check out the website to find out about more 3D accelerated screensavers...

Description:
	vrXmas.scr is a 3D screensaver for Microsoft Win95/Win98/ME/XP and Win NT/2k.
It uses Microsoft's Direct3D technology for quick graphics, and support of
	most 3D accelerator cards.

Installation:
Simply copy the vrxmas.scr file into your Windows directory. If you are
reading this, chances are it's already installed!
Next right-click on the desktop, and select properties. Then click the
Screen Saver tab, and select vrXmas2 from the list.
(If you don't see the screensaver listed there, chances are your windows
directory was named something other than c:\windows.)

Configuration:
Before previewing the screensaver for the first time, be sure and
configure it for your graphics card.
Select 'Settings...' in the Display properties screensaver section.

If you have a Voodoo card (eg. Monster3D, Orchid Righteous, etc.) make
sure you pick the second device, and pick the Direct3D HAL driver. (THIS IS
VERY IMPORTANT! If you have a Voodoo card, and you don't pick Direct3D HAL,
it will be Veeerrryyy slooowww...). For all 2D/3D combo cards (Banshee, TNT,
ATI, G200, etc.) select 'Display' device from the first drop down combo box.
And then of course select Direct3D HAL for the driver.

If you don't have a 3D accelerator card (I'm sorry - go get one!), be sure
to turn off all of the cool features like bilinear filtering, dithering,
and transparency. Without a 3D card your performance will be abysmal.

Hints and Tips:
For better colored lighting effects, set the "Max lights per string" option to 4.
This will reduce the combining of colors (which washes them out to white), and
	result in more dramatic colors.

See what happens when you hit 'B'... hint hint...

If the screensaver seems to be exiting at random times, check "Ignore Mouse".

For better performance: (if you have a slow computer)
		-Reduce the number of ornaments.
-Turn off Colored Lighting FX. (major speedup!)
		-Turn off the music.
-Make sure you are not running a software wavetable synth.
		-Select a lower resolution.
-Set the Snow to Light Snow, or No Snow.
-If you have a really slow computer or graphics card,
			turn off transparency effects.
-Get a real graphics card! :)

System Requirements:

	*Minimum*:
	Penitum(tm) 200 or greater.
3D accelerator card (3Dfx Voodoo, RIVA TNT/128, Matrox G200, Rendition,
	ATI Rage2/Rage128, S3 Savage, etc.)
DirectX5 or later. Just go get DirectX6 from http://www.microsoft.com/directx
The latest drivers for your graphics card.
A soundcard to hear the music. (software wavetable is too slow! Disable it!)

	*Recommended*:
	PentiumIII(tm) 1000 or greater!
NVIDIA GeForce, or 3Dfx based card (as of this writing...)
Good wavetable soundcard (The music is optimized for Creative AWE32/LIVE)

That's all. Enjoy. Let me know if you have any problems
and if you do, tell me your system setup information - vrman@vrman3d.com

Thanks!
